Open source and community consulting has been stuck in compliance training for too long, with everyone writing their own version of "Open Source 101." There is an opportunity for so much more: common, standard, and community-vetted content as an upstream to consulting efforts; a quality and consistent consulting and training experience; a focus on a whole-world view that encompasses the consumption, collaboration, and creation processes an organization experiences. Attendees will learn about efforts to collaborate with community consultants and mature organizations via an ongoing working group at TheOpenSourceWay.org. This presentation is by working group members with combined decades of experience consulting and presenting open source practices, targeted at a range from training/community consultants to individuals/teams adopting and spreading the open source way in their organizations. Attendees will learn about the upstream community, work done so far, what more is coming, and how to participate.
