Using his experience in the Fedora Project and in bringing together Red Hat and the CentOS Project, presenter Karsten Wade will talk about how to join an open source project as a corporate entity without screwing up the project. In 2014 Red Hat announced a surprising participatin in the CentOS roject, long known as a rebuild of Red Hat Enterprise Linux that has kept an arms-distance from Red Hat. In hiring core developers and helping to expand the project's mission and effect in the world, Red Hat members in the project have to wear many different hats - contributor, leader, employee, and Board member.
